The addiction rehabilitation centre is 50 years old!

Baie-Comeau, August 15, 2018 – The Addiction Rehabilitation Centre of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Côte-Nord is celebrating its’ 50th, Anniversary. Formerly known as Centre Le Canal, this resource officially opened in Baie-Comeau in August 1968.

Risks of opioid use

Opioids can be found in natural substances or created in a laboratory. They are called “psychoactive” substances because they act on the areas of the brain responsible for pain management. An inappropriate use of opioids can have health risks.
