Health care and services partnership

What is the partnership approach?

The partnership approach between users, their relatives and health and social services stakeholders is aimed at improving the quality of care and services offered by the CISSS de la Côte-Nord.

More specifically, this partnership with users and their relatives allows us to provide users with care and services that meet their needs. This approach is based on involving users when decisions regarding their health and personal experience are taken to improve their health or quality of life. To do so, it is important to listen to users and their relatives so they can suggest improvements to be made by becoming partner users.

How to become a partner user

Many reasons can motivate you to get involved:

  • You have received care or services at the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Côte‑Nord;
  • One of your relatives has received care or services at the CISSS de la Côte-Nord;
  • You are motivated to contribute to the community by improving the quality of care and services that are offered;
  • You want to volunteer your time by sharing your opinion constructively, by taking part in activities that aim to improve quality or by sitting on committees;
  • You understand the health and social services system through your experience at our facilities;
  • You embrace the values, the mission, and the vision of the CISSS de la Côte-Nord;
  • Other people are important to you, and you can put your personal experience aside when the benefit of the community prevails or when it cannot be otherwise.
