Visiting hours

Visitors with fever and cough are invited to postpone their visit. If you are visiting for humanitarian reasons, you must apply the required respiratory hygiene measures. For the protection of patients and visitors, you must disinfect your hands when entering and leaving a room. Visitors are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or tobacco in the establishment. Visitors under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted. The nursing staff may ask that the number or frequency of visits be limited in the user’s best interest.

Baie-Comeau

2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with certain exceptions for the following units:

  • Psychiatry:
    Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Weekends and holidays from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Intensive care unit:

  • Pediatric care unit:
    Children’s parents are admitted at all times. Other visitors: Regular visiting hours.
  • Mother-child centre:
    Spouse or significant person and children of parents are admitted 24 hours a day. Other visitors: Regular visiting hours.
  • Surgery:
    Day of the intervention: Visit of a relative authorized at all times. Other visitors: Regular visiting hours. Maximum two visitors per user at a time.
  • Age:
    Monday to Friday: 12 years and older. Weekends and holidays: No age restriction.
    NB: Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

No restriction (unless otherwise stated).

Sept-Îles

2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with certain exceptions for the following units. Visitors must use the hospital’s main entrance (45, rue du Père-Divet).

  • Psychiatry:
    Monday to Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Weekends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (children under 12 years old not admitted).
  • Intensive care unit:
    10 minutes on the half of each hour (children under 12 years old not admitted).
  • Emergency department:
    10 minutes on the half of each hour (children under 12 years old not admitted).
  • Mother-child centre:
    Delivery room: Two persons at a time (children under 12 years old not admitted).
    Pediatrics: Parents admitted at all times (children under 12 years old not admitted).
    Perinatal care: Spouse or significant person admitted at all times.
  • CHSLD:
    Everyday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Havre-Saint-Pierre

Everyday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Children are admitted on weekends and holidays only, under adult supervision. Maximum two visitors per user at a time.

Blanc-Sablon

Short-term unit: 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
CHSLD: Visits allowed at all times according to the resident’s schedule.

Fermont

1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the following exceptions:

  • No visitor is allowed to spend the night with a user, except for specific categories of users or with a specific authorization.
  • Children under 12 years old kept under observation or admitted in short-term care must be accompanied by a significant adult.
  • For children aged 12 years and older, parents or a significant adult are authorized at all times.
  • Palliative care users can receive visitors at all times. A significant person will be authorized to spend the night with the user.
  • Users in temporary accommodation may receive visitors from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
