Cultural safety policy

On September 18, 2024, the Board of Directors of Santé Québec Côte-Nord adopted the Démarre le chargement du fichierPolicy establishing the foundations of cultural safety in health and social services on the North Shore.

Based on a consultation process with Indigenous users, partners and communities on the North Shore, the policy contains five principles of excellence aimed at guiding Santé Québec Côte-Nord in implementing culturally safe care and services.

As a complement to this policy, the Démarre le chargement du fichierglossary of terms (French only) was created to promote respectful dialogue that is culturally sensitive to Indigenous realities at Santé Québec Côte-Nord.
