Replacement activities

In order to ensure an effective coverage of our services, work schedules are established based on the needs of the unit or department where you are working, while taking the preferences you have expressed into consideration as much as possible.

Scheduling is also based on the assignment regulations provided for in the local collective agreements, which vary depending on the job categories and titles. In certain sectors, scheduling is not centralized at the Replacement activities department. Of course, you can always refer to your manager.

Here is some documentation regarding schedule planning.

Schedule planning calendars

A schedule covers a 28-day period, so there are 13 schedules per year. In order to make it easier to generate schedules, certain deadlines must be respected, such as for leave requests.

This calendar allows you to know the dates when schedules are published.

Availability forms

Local collective agreements set out the minimum availabilities that employees of each job category registered on the recall list must provide, as well as how often these availabilities can be changed. The regulations applicable to your category are stated at the top of each form.

All new employees, except for those with a full-time position, are asked to complete this form when they start working for the organization. Someone from the Replacement activities department will help you complete it adequately.

Work shift exchanges

Employees with the same job title who have already been oriented in the concerned department and activity sector are allowed to exchange shifts. The applicable regulations of the local collective agreement are mentioned in the form.

Once you have completed the form, you must send it to your manager for approval. Your manager will notify the Replacement activities department of the change if they accept it.

Absence authorization request

If you plan to take time off during a day where you usually work or for which you are identified as available, you must complete an absence authorization request and send it to your manager for approval. Your manager will notify the Replacement activities department if they accept your request.

Since there is a deadline for these leave requests, please consult the replacement activities calendar to know the deadlines before the production of each schedule.
