Disclosure of Wrongdoings
Under the Act to facilitate the disclosure of wrongdoings relating to public bodies, you can make a disclosure of a wrongdoing to the Québec Ombudsman in strict confidence and with no risk of reprisal.
Anyone who wants to disclose wrongdoings within the meaning of the Act should deal directly with the Québec Ombudsperson (Protecteur du citoyen): https://protecteurducitoyen.qc.ca/en/file-a-complaint/government-department-agency.
A wrongoing is an act committed or about to be committed against the CISSS de la Côte-Nord and which constitutes:
- A violation of a law or regulation applicable in Québec;
- A serious breach of ethics and professional conduct;
- A misuse of funds or property of a public body, including those managed or held for others;
- A serious case of mismanagement within a public body, including an abuse of authority;
- An act or omission that causes or is likely to cause serious harm to the health or safety of a person or the environment;
- Directing or advising a person to commit a wrongdoing.
